An animation made frame-by-frame, it's about a young man's first romantic encounter. The main character, a man, crosses paths with a lady who gives his life some vibrancy. The progression from initial attraction to eventual breakup is depicted visually. An original emotional atmosphere is created through the use of sound effects and individually composed background music.
Red camellias, like the one seen in the animation, are widely employed in the flower language of "ideal love" to convey an overwhelming feeling of affection. Which can be translated to, "I want to adore you forever." “ You are the perfect partner for me.”
The script was inspired by Zhang Ailing's Red Rose and White Rose, which gets started, “Perhaps every man has all had such two women, at least two. Marry red rose, as time passes, the red one has been turned into wiping mosquito's blood of the wall, the white one is still ‘ bright moonlight in front of the bed ’; Marry white rose, a white one glue son one meal of clothes, a red one one cinnabar mole of pit of the stomach.” Any couple's decision to end their relationship is like letting a drop of blood go from their hearts. People make permanent marks on one other's lives and hearts, and they are never forgotten.
